I am a contemporary painter who works primarily in acrylics. I paint contemporary portraits but every now and then, to change it up a little, I like to paint my beloved native horses.

Originally based at the Southern end of the Lake District – but recently I have moved to the Western lakes – it wasn’t until Covid hit that I decided to dedicate my time to my true passion of painting. Before that I had been a head florist for over 20 years. Being creative, messy and working with my hands has always been something I’ve loved doing.

What started whilst I was squirrelled away in my room during Covid, as the ‘Covid collection’ – a set of portraits of family members – soon developed into more unusual collections as I developed and began to experiment with colours and textures.

Since showcasing my work in 2022 I have been very fortunate to have exhibited in a few European galleries and fairs.
