I'm essentially a self taught watercolourist and printmaker, I had my own gallery near Hebden Bridge for a few years before moving to the Yorkshire Dales.

I paint mainly landscapes, with a particular interest in mountains and derelict buildings, I have in the past painted atmospheric paintings of steam locomotives. I have had work accepted for the Laing Landscape competition and the Royal Watercolour Society open exhibition.

My latest work uses a simple palette, usually only one colour black or indigo. This has been inspired by my interest in etching and black and white photographs. It allows a large contrast between dark and light, creating atmosphere and texture in the finished image.
I'm also a member of Lunesdale Arts.
