My art is mainly semi abstracted mixed media paintings, mostly on paper, with acrylics, antique collage and using a gel plate. The many joys and also sorrows of life come through, often making the process of painting, restorative and autobiographical.

It is important for me to invite others into a similar creative experience, insuring a cyclical inspirational process, from artist to participant to viewer and so on. I facilitate art sessions, locally and globally, with people from all walks of life.

'Within and beyond the hedge'- describes my response to the beauty found within the hedge of the retreat place we hold in the Yorkshire Dales and beyond.

'Honouring yesterday by marking today' refers to the symbolic integration of everyday archival objects within my work.

'The way I walk with God' - the foundation of everything I create, leading me towards meditative and engaging pieces of work.

I grew up during the troubles in the North of Ireland, with my artist identical twin. Bargain hunting is a main feature, as well as consuming decent buttered toast with my family at home in front of the fire. Yum.
