My work is inspired by the shifting light, colour, and atmosphere of the UK’s coastlines and fells. Through oils and pastels I explore the quiet dialogue between land, sea, and sky places where stillness and movement coexist. Each piece begins with time spent outdoors, observing the subtle transitions in tone and mood that define the landscape.

Rather than depicting an exact scene, I aim to capture the feeling of being present in that moment — the serenity, the solitude, and the ever-changing rhythm of nature. Layer by layer, my paintings build a sense of place and memory, inviting viewers to pause and share in that same contemplative experience.
